Naropa Community Counseling Center (NCCC)
We partner with NCCC in our trainings and referrals. In our initial phone screens and assessments with potential clients we try to find the best fit for a therapist. Sometimes that is not us and in those cases we do look towards NCCC as a possible referral. We also partner for some of our community and group trainings so that our teams can have more access to continued education.
Naropa Community Counseling integrates contemplative approaches with modern clinical practice to assist our clients in reaching their highest level of emotional and mental well-being. We provide cutting edge, transformative intervention across a broad range of therapeutic services. Naropa Community Counseling serves Boulder and Front Range residents with low to moderate income, with sliding scale services from $30–90. We also accept Medicaid.

We have found that a team approach can greatly help our clients towards their goals and help them feel more connected. A lot of times there are tasks that either a mentor or therapist cannot always do or succeed on their own. If you are interested in having a team approach ask Expand or Whole Connection how you can find a team to support you.

Queer Asterisk is a non-profit organization rooted in community and run by queer and transgender professionals. We exist to meet a growing need for exceptional mental health care to better serve queer and transgender children, adolescents, adults, and families. Since 2017, we have provided affordable counseling services, comprehensive educational trainings, and robust community programming to promote individual and collective healing and wellness among queer and trans people. We envision a vibrant community that embraces authentic expression, where individuals with dynamic and intersecting identities can thrive.
Counseling: Queer Asterisk counselors are post-graduate and licensed mental health professionals from diverse backgrounds, all of whom identify as queer and transgender. We provide services in English, Spanish, French, and Danish. Our team provides individual, group, relationship and family counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. Our counselors specialize in gender-affirming treatment for a wide range of needs including body dysphoria, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and addiction recovery. The approach that we take to our counseling services is relational and trauma-informed.
We offer free 20 minute phone consultations, a sliding scale, and we can work with most major insurance providers. We have offices in Boulder, Denver and Longmont, and we can provide TeleHealth to Colorado residents. Our licensed clinicians are also available to offer queer-informed supervision to counselors in private practice.
