Kelly Ciaburri-Torres

Intern, Clinical Therapist
(She/Her/Ella)

Hola todos,

My name is Kelly and I use she/hers/ella pronouns. I am an immigrant from Ecuador and grew up on the East Coast. I am currently a master’s student at the University of Northern Colorado, specializing in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling. My passion lies in supporting systems who have experienced significant trauma, walking alongside them on their journey toward healing.

My professional journey includes working in various schools as a teacher’s aide, camp counselor, and supporting children on the autism spectrum. I also served as a Spanish Navigator at an Immigrant and Refugee Center, assisting different communities in accessing important resources. Currently, I work at a nonprofit organization serving survivors of domestic violence.

In our work together, I hope to create a space where you feel challenged and supported as you navigate your personal journey, whatever that may look like for you. I strive to help individuals/systems explore and reframe the narratives placed on them by society, relationships, friendships, and even themselves.  Additionally, I am committed to exploring the identities we hold and how they may impact the ways we can or cannot show up in different spaces. Together, we can work toward growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Outside of the counseling space, I love cozying up with a good book, specifically mystery, thriller, and as of recently, fantasy. I find joy in exploring new restaurants with my partner, and snuggling with my three kitties. I also love a good movie recommendation and fall is my favorite season.
