Tina Peterson

Intern, Clinical Therapist
(she/her)

I am a master’s student at the University of Colorado Denver in the Clinical Mental Health program. I am originally from Michigan where I gained my BA in Strategic Communication. Before becoming a therapist, I was a graphic designer who longed to direct my creativity toward helping people become more whole and healed versions of themselves.

To me, the power of therapy is having a supportive space with someone who helps you see yourself and your journey from new perspectives. I focus on empowering clients to identify their own strengths, gain new skills, and see themselves with more curiosity and compassion. My work is to support you as you become more fully yourself, awakened to your authenticity, connected to your body, rooted in your values, and liberated from the stories and experiences that have caged you in.

My approach includes Gestalt, Existential, Narrative, and Internal Family Systems.

I love playing outside, moving my body (mostly through dancing and playing sports), cooking, thrifting, lying in my hammock, and spending quality time with loved ones.
