Ellie Miller

Intern, Clinical Therapist
(she/her)

Therapy should feel collaborative, purposeful, warm and supportive. Together we will explore how your relationships, life experiences, and societal structures have shaped the way you see yourself. We will identify your values and use them in helping create a life that is more authentic and fulfilling. I believe connection and relationships are agents of healing and change and I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

My name is Ellie, and I am a Master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at University of Denver. I take a person-centered approach to therapy which means you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support you, to guide you, and to be curious about you on this journey. I’m here to listen without judgment, to hold space for the parts of your story that feel hardest to share, and to help you recognize the strength you’ve carried all along while celebrating every step of your growth. As a therapist I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative therapy, and Systems therapy. I think every person is unique and I tailor my approach to your goals and strengths. Everyone has the capacity to change, grow, and live a life more fully aligned with their values. I am here to help facilitate that growth and change with you. My hope is you leave therapy with a greater clarity, with deeper self compassion, and with renewed hope for what’s ahead. Outside of the therapy office I enjoy running, hiking with my two dogs, reading, and seeing live music, especially outdoors.

I’m glad you’re here.
