How starting works

1. Reach out

Fill out our short intake form or call us. Tell us a little about what's going on and that you have Medicaid — that's all we need to get started.

2. We check your coverage

Our admissions team verifies your Health First Colorado benefits for you and explains exactly what's covered — before your first session.

3. Meet your therapist

We match you with a therapist suited to your needs, in person in Boulder or Denver, or by secure video from home.

Medicaid plans we work with

  • Health First Colorado (Medicaid)
  • Colorado Access
  • Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA)
  • Northeast Health Partners
  • Denver Health Medicaid Choice
  • Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP)
  • Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+)
  • Medicare

Not sure which plan you have, or whether your region is covered? That's normal — the names on your card don't always make it obvious. Reach out and we'll figure it out with you. Checking costs nothing.

Need a ride to an office visit? Health First Colorado members in the Denver–Boulder metro can book free transportation to covered appointments through MediDrive at (855) 489-4999, or start with telehealth — many of our clients do.

What we can help with

Individual, couples, family and group therapy for anxiety and depression, trauma and abuse history, grief and major life change, relationship struggles, ADHD and neurodivergence, mood challenges, identity and self-worth, and support for children and teens. Our therapists are trauma-informed, queer-affirming, and trained in social justice.

Common questions

Does therapy really cost $0 with Medicaid?

For most Health First Colorado members, covered outpatient therapy sessions have no copay. We verify your specific benefits before you start so there are no surprises.

Can I do sessions by video?

Yes. Health First Colorado covers telehealth therapy, and we see clients by secure video across Colorado. All you need is a phone, tablet or computer with internet.

How soon can I be seen?

Reach out and admissions will tell you current availability — telehealth openings are often the soonest. We'll help you decide what makes sense; there's no pressure to commit.

What if I'm not sure therapy is right for me?

Start with a conversation. Our admissions team helps you think through options — including ones outside our practice if we're not the right fit.
