Julie Saurit

Intern, Clinical Therapist
(she/her)

I am currently completing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. My journey with mental health and healing has been long and deeply rewarding, and it is what led me to counseling. I believe healing and mental health are both part of the continuum of human experience. Counseling offers the unique possibility of sharing that journey with someone who understands pain, struggle, and the longing to feel good about who we are: someone who feels called to walk that path alongside you

My approach to counseling is rooted in authenticity and unconditional acceptance of our emotional experience. I draw from person-centered, existential, and Internal Family Systems frameworks, as well as a trust in the innate intelligence of our own connection to life. I believe we all have a deep longing to feel seen, heard, and accepted for who we are. Truth is a personal experience, one that has the power to transform us and those around us. Our stories need to be heard and honored to become the jewels of
growth on our path. This is why, in our work together, my hope is that you feel safe, held, and gently encouraged to connect with the parts of you that are ready to heal. I welcome you exactly as you are.

A little bit about me: I was born and raised in northern Argentina. I left the country after
completing a master’s in social sciences and communications, spent 15 years between the Netherlands and Sweden, and finally relocated to Boulder in 2022. During that time, I had a private practice in energy and shamanic healing, which deepened my connection to the web of life and my calling to serve others. Living in different countries has offered me the precious gift of appreciating and respecting different cultures. It has also guided me to embrace my own cultural heritage. I am a poet and a sculptor, and artistic expression has been dear to my heart and my healing path. I am also a mother of two, ages 7 and 9. In my free time, I enjoy writing poetry, working in the ceramic studio, and being in nature.
