Molly Staton

Intern, Clinical Therapist
(she/her)

Welcome. My name is Molly and I’m a third-year master’s student at Naropa University studying contemplative counseling. A contemplative approach to therapy means I hold a particular view on what causes human suffering and what frees us from it.

I believe in your capacity to heal and view our work together as restoring your true nature, rather than repairing something broken. I hold your story with reverence and aim to come alongside you in collaboration, with compassionate, non-judgemental curiosity. You can expect a mindfulness-based, somatic, and relational approach. I’ll offer gentle invitations into the present moment and we’ll take cues from the wisdom of your body. I welcome all parts of you and all aspects of your experience, as our social context and identities are central to this process.

A tulip on fire, but not consumed. This image in many ways represents my own personal journey. I’ve found beauty in the alchemy of transformation and strength in the softness of surrender. It would be an honor to accompany and empower you on your path toward deeper well-being, authenticity, and liberation from suffering. None of us can do it alone.
